RATE, the RTI Accurate Time Enforcer, is a locally
hosted PC-based Java application that allows employees to accurately report
direct, as well as indirect, labor on projects. At the end of the week,
employees connect to the internet, and RATE sends the "virtual
timecard" to the corporate payroll office for processing.
RTI utilizes Quicken as its accounting package. RATE
produces data files that can be imported directly into Quicken and thus reduces
data entry, so if Quicken is your accounting package of choice, we have a
seamless solution that you can leverage immediately; and, if not, all data is
coded via an XML schema that RTI developed specifically for payroll processing,
thus making the data transportable to virtually any accounting system that you
use.
No
more incorrectly recorded charge numbers or labor categories. For each employee,
only the customers, charge numbers, and labor categories they are authorized to
use appear on drop-down menus, for easy selection. Hours in each category are
filled in at the end of each day, and at the end of the week the "Submit
Week" option is selected and the time record is sent, via the internet, to
the corporate office.
If internet access is unavailable, the "Print"
option can be used to print a standard timesheet containing the employee's name,
the time period being reported, the hours worked each day (and the week total)
and spaces for three authorization signatures and dates. This timesheet can then
be Faxed or mailed to the home office. Additionally, timecards from previous
weeks are archived and can be navigated and displayed using the
"First", "Last", "Previous", and "Next"
buttons.
Updating is easy...when the list of authorized charge
numbers changes, simply email the employee a data file containing the new charge
numbers. This file is saved in the RATE folder and the new charge numbers take
effect immediately.
