Business to Business (B2B) Commerce Infrastructure
RTI has designed and developed a system architecture and framework that will allow legacy procurement and transaction systems and databases (mainframe and other) to be integrated with new transaction systems into a single virtual ecommerce B2B system solution.
The system provides an easy to use Web/HTML based interface, and uses new and existing technologies such as EDI, XML, and CORBA to streamline procurement related business processes while reusing existing systems and resources to the greatest extent possible. The result will be significant benefits for your business by reducing paperwork and manual processing, and providing reduced duplication of effort, and increased sharing of resources.
Supporting both service-oriented and document-oriented business interactions is often key to effective business-to-business integration. RTI uses a combination of complimentary technologies such as XML, CORBA, and Java to facilitate these different interactions.
CASE STUDY: RTI's significant experience in these technologies was key in the design and development of the Federal Commons system. The Federal Commons is an e-business system that will provide the federal grantee community (i.e. research universities, non-profit organizations, and others) a common access point to perform grant application and administration functions across numerous federal agencies.
