RTI Receives Certificate of Achievement from the JPEO-CBD FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA – July 1, 2003 – RTI received a Certificate of Achievement for it's work with the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical Biological Defense. The award states "for outstanding support and service to the Product Manager, Biological Defense from June 2002 through June 2003. The professionalism and dedication displayed by RTI's employees helped enable the Product Manager to provide the best biological detection capability for our Joint Forces, the Nation, and the citizens around the world. The technical expertise provided during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, Homeland Defense deployments, multiple fieldings, systems tests and demonstrations proved invaluable to the organization. RTI's diligence in service and devotion to detail reflect highly upon the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical Biological Defense, the Department of the Army, and the Department of Defense." RTI has been assisting the JPEO-CBD in managing contractor quality systems and providing government quality assurance leadership for the Product Manager - Joint Biological Point Detection System (PM-JBPDS). The JBPDS - an integrated system of optical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, telecommunications, and digital technologies - automatically detects, collects, identifies, and stores a sample of Biological Warfare (BW) agents. RTI represents PM-JBPDS for all material quality assurance and quality system performance issues.
