FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA – November 20, 2002– Drawing upon experience gained with a variety of products for the Department of Defense, Lockheed Martin has teamed with Ricciardi Technologies Incorporated (RTI) to produce the system solution to weapons of mass destruction (WMD) warning and monitoring that is ready today.
The system results from the integration of two proven systems, the Biological Aerosol Warning System (BAWS) developed by Lockheed Martin and the SensorView system developed by RTI. The result is a modular, highly adaptable system that can be tailored to meet a complete array of customer requirements under a variety of employment scenarios. The command center display is based on RTI’s SensorView system and consists of a PC display, including mapping capability, as well as real- time connectivity to SensorView Remote Companions (PDAs) which allow response personnel to maintain a current operational picture at all times even while on the move. The system is also capable of linking multiple sensor networks thereby providing the Command Center with the capability of monitoring multiple sites simultaneously. With its modular design and inherent adaptability, offers a solution today to the challenge of WMD detection and early warning that can be tailored to meet the customized needs of any situation.
