RTI Wins Area 2 and Area 4 on VANITS

(Fairfax, VA) Wednesday, August 30, 2000 - The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded contracts on the Value Added Niche Information Technology Services (VANITS) solicitation. RTI is proud to have been selected as a prime for the areas in which it competed, Areas 2 and 4. The VANITS contract is valued at $950 million over a period of seven years. VANITS is a program of delivering information technology services to a wide audience for Government customers and includes value added program management and contracts administration in meeting customer requirements. VANITS includes a multiple awards, labor hours and time and materials based Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) set of contracts designed to provide a range of specialized, value added IT services and infrastructure support for a broad range of customer requirements. VANITS is broken down into eleven functional areas. RTI’s involvement on Area 2: E-Commerce Services will consist of front end IT ordering processes development and technical support; Area 4: Enterprise Resources Processes Services will consist of business management system integration development and technical support.
