The Deparment of Commerce (DOC) awarded contracts to twenty nine small businesses to provide an array of
technology services ranging from managing local-area networks to creating
Internet Solutions. The contract carries an estimated
value of $1.5 billion over five years. RTI is teamed with Technology
Planning and Management Corp. (TPMC), http://www.tpmc.com, as a
subcontractor to TPMC. RTI brings significant experience in distributed
systems, network architecture, and the software lifecycle development to the
table to complement the TPMC skill set to support COMMITS. This vehicle
is open to everyone in the DOC and other agency (ala ITOP II) who may need information technology services,
including data mining, data warehousing, network management, software
engineering, geographic information systems development and Internet
applications. The DOC specifically set up the COMMITS for small businesses
and all contractors and sub-contracts must have a small business status to
qualify. This win represents a major milestone for RTI. To learn more
