Since its inception, RTI has performed numerous tasks in which the development of database systems was a major component. Examples include:

• CACI - RTI, in support of its client, CACI, provided Lipton system development support for the Inventory Control and Automated Guided Vehicles system. RTI was able to take a system that was in trouble and turn it around. RTI engineers re-wrote part of the software for the automated guided vehicle controllers, and re-designed part of Oracle DBMS on the VAX-Computer Network
• Motorola - RTI engineers are currently providing support for the development and integration of a DoD targeting system, which relies on Map databases and targeting information hosted on COTS database products.
• LMI - RTI, in support of the NASA ASAC and NATO JOTID utilized both Object based database like Versant and Imprise RDBMS Interbase for storage of objects
